Nobuko Tabata

Nobuko Tabata has deep expertise advising family businesses and improving diversity and gender parity in management, along with supporting general executive assessment and development. She is active in Egon Zehnder’s Consumer, CEO, Board Consulting, and Diversity & Inclusion practices.
Previously, Nobuko was a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company and held a management position within a family-owned transportation business. She has taught at TAC Co., Ltd., Japan’s leading school for CPAs, and worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC.
Nobuko holds a Bachelor of Economics from Keio University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a lifelong Scott M. Johnson Fellow in the U.S.-Japan Leadership Program of the United States-Japan Foundation. Nobuko serves on the board of the Kamiyama Foundation and oversees the scholarship program.
