With a help of viable family office, influential family business owning family can outlast its business. In an age of uncertainty, which is increasing every year for the complex reasons of globalization, digitalization, and geopolitical risk, it is inevitable for any family business owning family to liquidate its long-established business. When those families find themselves in such cash event, they will find it difficult to maintain family cohesiveness as organic business suddenly turns into unorganic cash. The family will be forced to maintain its family solidarity and engage in a positive impact on society without its long-established family business. This is where family office comes into play to assist those families to redefine their role in society, in which they have lived for generations. A young entrepreneur, Banjo Yamauchi, the fifth generation of founding family of Nintendo, now talks about his new challenges as a leader of its family office.
